Yoga for Meditation

Meditation is a powerful tool for spiritual growth. It helps you release your attachments to your False Self or ego and focus your awareness on your True Self, your Indwelling Spirit. By including breath aligned movement and centering breath practices, you prepare your body and mind to be still. In that stillness, you learn to be present to the Presence of the Spirit. You cultivate a state of open receptivity and surrender to Spirit. In that surrender, you return again and again to your True Self, to the Indwelling Spirit that lives in each of us.

Each class includes instruction on meditation, simple seated and standing movements, breath centering practices and a meditation practice. No experience necessary.

MBT Book Club

Mind. Body. Transformation. Books have the power to challenge our current thinking and give us new perspectives that can transform our lives. MBT Book Club combines book club discussion with a yoga practice. Studies have shown that yoga increases neuroplasticity, the ability to create new pathways or thought patterns in the brain which helps us better integrate our new perspectives. As we progress through the book, usually a chapter at a time, we meet weekly for discussion and yoga.
