My commitment to YOUR mind body transformation would not be complete if WE only focused on YOUR body.

In the U.S., we visit a medical doctor for problems with our bodies and a psychotherapist for problems in our minds. In yoga, body and mind are one. So, in my private coaching sessions we’ll work with both your body and your mind.

You can’t suppress an emotion without tightening a part of your body.

When feeling overwhelmed by emotions, especially when we were children, we unconsciously contract a part of the body in an effort to suppress the feelings. These contractions can, and often do, result in chronic tension and pain. We also unconsciously divert our attention away from the body to avoid the sensations. We focus on mental activities like problem solving, task completion, and my favorite, list making! This is how we start to lose our vital mindbody connection. The more we disconnect from the body, the harder it tries to get our attention: a pain may show up in the knee, the gut or another part of the body and we wonder how it got there…

What to Expect

During our first session, we’ll discuss your goals and expectations for working together and which physical/mental/emotional states are interfering with your overall sense of wellbeing:

  • physical pain or discomfort

  • stress or burnout

  • anxiety or depression

  • relationship problems or career issues

We refer to these states as “trailheads” that can lead us down a path toward healing. We’ll also explore some breathwork and yoga poses to calm your nervous system, bring your awareness back to your body and reconnect you with your inner wisdom.

After your first session, I’ll send you a short sequence of poses and other exercises to do at home so you can continue to check in with your mindbody in between our sessions, because:

Avoidance is the number one obstacle that keeps us stuck.

Each time we meet, we’ll talk about whatever is most pressing for you, follow the “trailheads”, move stagnant energy with breath and yoga, and strengthen your connection to your inner wisdom. You already have everything you need for healing. My role is to help you reconnect with it.

  • $100 for a 90-minute session

  • $360 for a package of four 90-minute sessions

Cancellation Policy

mbt yoga reserves the right to charge a $25 fee for appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. A "no call-no show" can result in a full payment fee.
