To create your vision board, you’ll need to bring:

  • a large sheet of paper or a white board/cork board (I’ll have paper if you don’t.)

  • some colored pens or pencils

  • some old magazines (I’ll bring some as well.)

  • scissors

  • a glue stick or tape (or pins if using a cork board)

Before the workshop:

  • Go through your magazines and cut out anything that strikes you; words, images, logos…don’t think about why it strikes you just, grab it. You probably won’t use everything you pick, but you’ll want to have options. And don’t forget to bring the magazines, you may want to go back and look for more things.

  • Consider a focal point for the center of your vision board. Perhaps something that evokes a journey (a path or a bridge) or growth (a garden or a tree). You can draw this, find an image on the internet and print it out, or something from a magazine. No limits, get creative!

  • Consider choosing a “word for the year” to add to your board. Picking a word of the year can bring clarity and focus to who you want to become and how you want to feel. Consider words that align with your values (honesty, joy, grace). Unlike goals, a value is something you can always be moving toward; there’s no end point for a value.

This is going to be great fun! I’m really looking forward to spending this time with you envisioning the possibilities of the new year.
